Taking a portrait photo at Sihyunhada Photography Studio has been on my Seoul wishlist for ages, and I finally got the chance to try it out!
Sihyunhada has many branches in Seoul, so finding one near your accommodation is easy. We chose to visit the Sinchon branch, which was conveniently located.
The studio itself is an Instagrammer’s dream, with a chic and photogenic setup perfect for capturing beautiful photos. You can choose your own style and photographer, and their Instagram page is a great source of inspiration. I opted for Seula, who speaks English and specializes in a more natural style.
You’ll need to do your own makeup and outfit styling, but the studio provides a dedicated space for you to prepare before your session. They even give you a form to indicate three keywords that describe the feeling you want in your photos. I chose “clean,” “fresh,” and “lovely” to match my mild personality.
The staff are incredibly friendly and skilled, guiding you through each pose and making sure you feel comfortable and confident. Their compliments and guidance ensure you capture your best angles with a natural smile. The editing skills are impressive, detailed, and natural, preserving your true essence.
Finally, the photos came out beautifully! You receive both soft and hard copies, with the hard copies in various sizes and packaged uniquely with a cassette tape. The whole process took about 30 minutes, and the service was professional and efficient.
